The difference between an AA degree and AS degree is that an AA degree is awarded after completion of a two years course in Liberal Arts. AS degree, on the other hand, is awarded on the completion of a 2-year course in any of the subjects related to the field of science.

Associate of Arts (AA) Degree is a 2 years degree that is equivalent to the first half of a Bachelor’s Degree in liberal arts.
