Mexican Brewery Cervecería Modelo came up with a pale lager in partnership with the Belgian company AB InBev, Corona Extra. Within a very short span of time, the lager gained popularity and became a top-grosser in the U.S. Since 1998, and it has not left its marketplace.

Originating from Mexico, Corona Extra has been successful in securing a good market value. The lager contains 4.5 percent of alcohol by volume and is prepared from a mixture of corn, barley, hops, malt, yeast, and some antioxidants as well.
