Movies and books are two such things that are enjoyed by people and are also a great pass-time. Those who love books are called bibliophiles, and the one who enjoys watching a lot of movies is called movie buff. Books come in different genres and, so are movies. Movies vs Books

The difference between movies and books is that movies can be watched in theatres, on television, computers, and laptops, whereas books can be read anywhere and anytime. One merely needs a book (E-book or hardcover). On the other hand, one must choose what movie are they going to watch and through which platform are they going to watch the specific movie. 

Movies are moving pictures (a video) that is played on screen. Usually, the film is based on a story and involves characters, primarily the actor, actress, and antagonist. The movie comprises music, background music, graphics, and so on. Movies are classified according to their genre. For instance, The Conjuring movie comes under horror film. 

Books are something that is written, printed, and released in hard and soft copies. Books are also classified according to their genre. A book depicting a person’s life comes under biography (If written by someone else) and auto-biography (if written by the person itself). There are other genres such as romance, fiction, and non-fiction.

What are Movies? 

Movies are moving pictures and, they consist of actors playing their roles, songs in-between, background music (It varies from scene to scene), graphics as and when required, and other effects. A team is involved in directing the movie. 

The director is the most important person involved in directing the movie. The producer invests his or her money in the film, and the casting director hires all the actors and side actors for the movie. The camera department handles the cinematography for the entire film. The makeup artist team does all the make-up work for all the characters.

The fashion department team selects all the dresses for every character. The SFX team does all the special effects such as the illusions for the movie, the music department composes the required song, background music, the opening theme for the actor, actress, and antagonist, and other music. 

Movies are a great time-pass for people. Movies depict the life of a person in three hours and narrate a story within two and a half hours to three hours. Movies can be of any genre; they can also be a documentary for educational purposes. A movie can even make awareness among people. Some of the greatest movies are the God Father, Lord of the rings, and so on. 

What are Books?

Books are one of the greatest inventions of the world. A book can relax a person and become his or her comforting friend in the long run. Books can come in two forms. They are the printed version of books and the electronic version. Nowadays, E-books are trending due to their easy availability, but one can feel the true essence of reading through the printed version. 

Books can benefit a person in different ways. It may change a person’s perspective over something and is also a powerhouse of knowledge. It enhances one’s vocabulary. It uplifts a person’s mood suddenly.

Books come in different genres. Those who want to enter the fantasy world can choose a fantasy novel or a science-fiction book, or a horror book. One who wants to get motivated can go for a motivation book or a self-help book. If a person is interested to read about someone else’s life history, they can opt for auto-biography or biography (If that is available).

Books also help in personality development and growth. One must develop the habit of book reading as it is very beneficial to them in the long run. A person new to book reading can opt for short stories and eventually switch to big books.
