What are Plants?

The body structure is also different. The cell in plants has cell wall in them. This cell wall provides a rigid shape and thus a rigid body to them. The cells are rectangular in shape. Plants have many vacuoles in them, which as used for respiration and other uses.

Plants have a pigment called chlorophyll which makes them green and helps them to make their food. These are found in chloroplast cells. The process of preparing food in plants is called photosynthesis. The food prepared is distributed throughout the body through a pipeline system. Plants have the ability to grow till they die. They have a very simple transportation system in their body. 

Plants produce oxygen and absorb carbon dioxide, which is a very important conversion for the earth. This makes the plants called the lungs of the earth. Plants can reproduce in both asexual and sexual modes. The asexual mode of reproduction is vegetative propagation, and the sexual mode is pollination. There are two different kinds of plants, the dicotyledonous and monocotyledonous plants.

What are Humans?

The humans belong to the kingdom Animalia. They belong to the heterotrophic mode of nutrition. That is, they cannot prepare their own food. Humans have the sense advanced than of plants. Humans have special tissues that secrete special chemicals which lead to feelings and emotions in humans.

Humans exhibit the heterotrophy mode of nutrition. They depend on other animals and plants for their food. They cannot prepare their own food. Humans have the ability to move. They are called mobile. Humans belong to the omnivore category. Humans have different body structures than plants. The cells of humans are not in a particular shape. The different cells have different shapes according to their functions.

Human cells do not have cell walls in them. Humans have a red pigment called hemoglobin that gives the red color in the blood. The main transportation of nutrients and minerals in the body is by the blood. Humans have different systems formed by different organs with specified functions.

Humans also have advanced sensing. There are different chemicals in the body secreted and thus forming different emotions in humans. The main master of the body is the brain. This brain differentiates the human from other creatures.

Main Differences Between Plants and Humans

  1. Plants are stationary. They cannot move around. On the other hand, humans are mobile. They can move around. Humans have the capacity to adapt themselves to the environment in which they are surviving.
  2. Plants can grow throughout their lifetime, but humans can grow up to a certain age.
  3. Vacuoles are present in large numbers in plants but absent in humans.
  4. All plants belong to the kingdom Plantae. On the other hand, all animals, including humans, belong to the kingdom Animalia.

Plants pose an autotrophic mode of nutrition which means that they can prepare their own food from the simple raw substances available in nature, in contrast, humans have a heterotrophic mode of nutrition which means that they cannot prepare their own food and are dependent on other plants and animals for food.

There are many organisms in the biosphere. Plants and animals are the most important of all other components. The plants and humans differ a lot. Humans are much more advanced with respect to plants, though it is considered that humans have evolved from plants only.
