Charles “Charlie” Thomas Munger was born on 1 January 1924 to Florence and Alfred C. Munger in Omaha. Munger used to work in his teenage years.

He once worked at a store owned by Warren Buffett’s grandfather. There, he worked with Warren Buffett and developed a strong friendship with him.

After high school, he was selected by the University of Michigan to study mathematics. However, Munger wanted to give his services to the U.S. Army Air Corps and dropped out of college in 1943.
