Resolution is the quality of the display, which means what you see in a picture or tv is made up of small pixels, and together it is called resolution. We can manually set the resolution of the video and can also put up an auto-selection mode in which your video resolution is set up on its own depending upon the quality of your internet or network.
There are many range of video resolution level like 720p, 360p, 240p, 144p, 1080p etc. While making or editing a video on software, there is an option for setting resolution, which makes your video or picture quality more clear and presentable. 720p vs 360p
The main difference between 720p and 360p is that 720p provides you with a high-quality video display which means you can see the video without any blur effect. Whereas, in 360p resolution, the video gets slightly blurred and, the small things displayed in the video are not properly visible.
720p is a starting range of the high-definition video having a display resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Earlier, the devices were considered best at 720p, but now there is a far better range of resolution. The HD channels that you see on your television also display videos or movies in this standard definition only.
360p is a lower quality resolution range having a display resolution of 640×360. This resolution is best for the areas where internet speed is low, and the data quality is poor. On small devices like phones and tablets, this resolution is highly suited because it does not strike much load on the screen.

What is 720p?
720p is a type of high-definition television format of today’s generation with total horizontal lines of 720 and total columns around 1280. All the widescreen television sets available in the market provides 720p resolution as the basic HD type resolution. 720p is the basic preferred choice for other formats too like high-definition video playback in which videos are recorded on DVDs in 720p resolution, camcorders which are used to shoot the movies or the videos also starts its quality range with 720p standard format only.
The frequency rate of the display of the images or the videos in 720p format varies from country to country. For example, PAL countries like Australia, Germany have a frame rate of around 50, whereas NTSC countries like Japan, Brazil have a 59.94 frame rate.
What is 360p?
360p is the lowest and the basic resolution for the old devices and for those devices which does not support high definition format. The pixels are less in this resolution which makes it suitable for the users who have a low-grade or low-end network or broadband connections.
360p is a standard format for the ‘video on demand’ media distribution system in which users can generate video access without the need for an external playback device. For example, if there is an on-air show or video display about the country’s progress or any other live telecast, then the preferred display quality will be in 360p.
Mega video giants like YouTube still have a 360p resolution range which can be manually set in the system or the devices. These lower standard resolutions do not take much time to download and upload on any platform like YouTube, google drive, etc.
