A Full HD LCD TV costs are a bit more than an HD Ready LCD TV for the same sized television.

The price for such TVs is lesser and can be considered if you are running on a low budget.

This type of television comes with a resolution 1080p resolution. The expected resolution that it provides is 2.1 megapixels. It is also referred informally to 2k television.
It provides a clearer picture quality owing to its greater resolution.
It is suitable for people who are interested in details as it provides a sharp image and motion blur is negligible. A Full HD LCD TV comes with an inbuilt digital tuner that helps the television to receive and display digital signals.
The best thing about these televisions is that they can receive and give an output of 1080p videos.
The video signals of the range of 1080p are supported by ATSC standards in the USA and DVB in the UK. There is a golden logo that states the validity of the resolution.
Usually, a Full HD LCD TV comes with a digital tuner but the logo in no way signifies that it must be fitted with it.
The Full HD LCD TV can be brought if the space between the observer and the television is less than 7 feet. Owing to its high resolution it provides better picture quality and the observer fails to see the pixels as they are so tiny.
It gives the best experience but it costs a little bit more when compared with another type of television having the same size.
What is an HD Ready LCD TV?
With a resolution of 720p, it can produce an output for an input of 1080p but the picture will be distorted given the limitation of the television. The number simply represents the number of horizontal scan lines.
If your television is a 720p then it can simply show 720 vertical lines at a time.
It is relatively cheaper than a Full HD LCD TV. It costs less for the same configuration and features. If you are running low on the budget this television provides the best option.
For most people, the difference is barely noticeable when compared to 1080p television.
If you have a large living room and want to set it there then it will the best option for you, as from a distance of 8 feet or more the picture quality is just fine.
But if the distance between the observer and the television is less than 5 feet then the picture quality may be a bit blurry for the viewer.
The certification program for HD-ready devices was introduced in 2005 by EICTA (European information, Communications, and Consumer Electronics Technology Industry Association) which ensures that television actually gives the said feature.
It is comparably better than a standard television that has a 480p resolution.
Main Differences Between Full HD LCD TV and HD Ready LCD TV
- The most common difference is that of resolution; it is 1080p for a full HD LCD TV which is higher when compared with 720p of an HD Ready LCD TV.
- A full HD TV is capable of receiving and displaying 1080p pictures whereas an HD Ready LCD TV can only receive data of 1080p but cannot display it.
- The motion blur factor is negligible in Full HD LCD TV whereas it may be visible to some extent in an HD Ready LCD TV.
- A Full HD LCD TV generally comes with a digital tuner which is not available in an HD Ready LCD TV.
- An HD Ready LCD TV should be considered if the distance between the observer and the television is at least 8 feet or more whereas A Full HD LCD TV is suitable for any range of distance.
