The difference between a governor and a senate is that they have different duties and responsibilities. Like in the case of a senate it is their duty to vote on laws as to which one should the country (US) follow or have.

Governor is there in each and every country and state because they have some responsibilities and duties for their country or state. It is the primary duty of the Governor of India to protect and defend the constitution of the country.

However, it is not the same for every other country because the Governor of the US has some other responsibilities.

The governor serves as the chief executive officer of the state and he/she has to look at the functions of the executive branch of the government.

A governor and a senator may represent different houses but no one can say that the governor outranks the senator. It is also the duty of the governor to look after the people and take care of them whereas the senator’s duty is quite different.

The senator is a representative of the senate and it is their responsibility or their duty is to vote on which laws the United States should follow or have.

However, the laws should also be reviewed by the governor too and once they get agreed by both the houses then it is signed by the President of the US.

The US has two houses and the senator belongs to the senate. The senate is also called as the upper house and they are the representative of the state pertaining to national politics.

It is the primary aim of the senator to represent the interest of the state at the national level.

Each state’s people elect only two people as their senators who will represent them in the house of the US senate. There are 50 states in the United States and therefore there are 100 senators representing each state’s interests to the house.

The two elected senators from each state have to represent themselves in the federal level. Since the senators are representatives of the each state they propose laws that have been put forward by congress.

Directly or indirectly they work for the best interests of their own people by bringing and proposing new laws for the President to sign. There were many senators in the history who has become the President of the United States.
