iRobot is an American robotics company in the business of consumer robots.

They make the iRobot Roomba series, which is an autonomous dust-collecting vacuum robot series that have a lot of smart sensors that can detect obstacles and change courses while they go around the house vacuuming.

Key Takeaways

  1. The iRobot Roomba S9 and S9+ are high-end robot vacuum cleaners with similar features.
  2. The S9+ has an automatic dirt disposal system, while the S9 does not.
  3. The S9+ also comes with a larger Clean Base, which can hold more dirt and debris than the Clean Base for the S9.

iRobot Roomba S9+ vs S9

iRobot Roomba S9+ is a high-end robot vacuum that has an automatic and controlled dust disposal base and it also has an automatic bin collection emptying system. Roomba S9 is a robot vacuum cleaner that helps in reducing allergic reactions as it can pick up allergenic substances.

iRobot Roomba S9 vs S9

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is a premium automatic vacuum robot product manufactured and marketed by iRobot.

It has about 2200 Pascals of suction pressure that proves really useful in cleaning and removing particulate matter from floors of houses. It keeps the house clean and because it is automatic, it is highly popular.

The Roomba S9 is a robot vacuum designed to clean up houses and reduce the human effort involved in the same. It also helps in reducing allergic reactions as it can pick up allergenic substances such as pollen and mold.

It is associated with a series of cleaning products and mops that are automatic, made by iRobot.

The iRobot Roomba has a plethora of smart sensors that tell the robot about the various obstacles in the way so that it can avoid any collision with household objects such as furniture and even with people.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ has an anti-dust Clean Base Dust Disposal base that can empty itself for up to 60 days. This feature is one of the strongest selling points of the iRobot Roomba S9+ as no other robot vacuum brand in the world can do this.

The S9+ also has an anti-allergen function that does not allow allergy-causing substances such as pollen, mold, and bacteria to persist on the floors.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ has a smart sensor that can control the suction power and match it to the requirement. It can even deep clean carpets by increasing its suction power.

It is especially beneficial for homes that have pets in them as they constantly shed and pet hair may cause allergic reactions and are unsanitary for kids if they consume them by mistake.

The iRobot constantly removes all hair and dust from the floor to maintain a clean space.

What is S9?

The iRobot Roomba S9 is the other product launched along with the iRobot Roomba S9 in May 2021. It is a smart robot vacuum manufactured by the American iRobot.

They have been in the robotics manufacturing industry for the last 30 years and released the first version of the Roomb in 2002.

The iRobot Roomba S9 has a weight of 8.15lbs and its dimensions are height 3.5 inches by diameter 12.5 inches. It has a suction power of a whopping 22 CFM.

It comes with an integrated battery of 3300 MaH which is a Lithium-ion battery. It is built on a smart movement algorithm with room sensors, carpet sensors, and a full bin sensor for its dust collection bin which is 0.4 liters in capacity.

It has an autodocking mechanism for charging which makes it very easy to use, as after starting it, the robot automatically begins its cleaning duty which can be scheduled and it charges itself at the charging station and continues cleaning as scheduled.

The dual rubber brushes that the iRobot Roomba s9 uses effectively clean all types of floors and it does not leave behind even the finer particles of dust. It’s a little cheaper than its more premium partner, the S9+.

Main Differences Between iRobot Roomba S9+ and S9

  1. The iRobot Roomba S9+ contains a Clean Base Charging station whereas the S9 has a Home Charging station.
  2. The automatic dust collection system which functions autonomously for up to 60 days is present in the iRobot Roomba S9+ but not in the S9.
  3. The battery life of the iRobot Roomba S9+ is a little less than the S9 owing to the battery requirement of the dust disposal system.
  4. The iRobot Roomba S9+ is a very expensive product in terms of vacuums for the features it offers and the S9 has similar features but is better priced.
  5. 2 dirt disposal bags are included in the purchase of the iRobot Roomba S9+ and not in the S9.
