However, there are a lot of differences that we may notice. Humans have a more developed brain and can solve difficult problems than animals have. Moreover, humans are civilized, but animals are uncivilized.

Humans vs Animals

Humans are a species of primates, known as Homo sapiens, that are characterized by their highly developed brains and ability to reason, communicate, create, and experience emotions. Animals are a diverse group of living organisms that are not plants or fungi. They are characterized by their ability to move, reproduce, and respond to their environment.

Humans are the only known highly intellectual species with great communicating skills. They use various languages to express their feelings.

They can cook food, wear clothes, make buildings, and know the use of science and technologies. Humans are bipedal. They use their two legs to walk.

Animals have a very basic brain structure. They use various sounds to communicate. They eat flesh, grass, fresh plants, and fruits. Animals are quadrupedal.

They walk on four legs, live in the jungle or natural environment. Some of them can build their shelter. Animals can be both warm-blooded or cold-blooded.

Comparison Table

Parameters of Comparison  Humans  Animals
Definition  Humans are the member of the species Sapiens with the highly developed brain, belongs to the vertebrates.  Animals are the member of kingdom Animalia with a multicellular body, specialize sense organs and an undeveloped brain.
Communication skills  Humans can talk. They communicate through various languages.  Animals do not have any particular language, have very basic communication skills. They use sounds to communicate.
Movement  Humans are bipedal, move from place to place by their two legs. Modern humans use vehicles to move from place to place.  Animals are quadrupedal. Most of the animals use their four legs to walk like a lion, tiger, deer, etc.
Food  Humans are omnivorous, they eat cooked meat, plants, and vegetables.  Animals can be herbivorous, carnivorous, or omnivorous. They eat flesh and plants direct from nature.
Shelter  Humans are capable to make houses or buildings for their shelter.  Most of the animals live in the natural environment, in the jungles.
Ability  Humans can change the environment according to their needs.  Animals are incapable of changing the environment, they have to adapt or die.

What are Humans?

Humans are the most widespread species of primates. Their intelligence is very high, and that makes them unique among all the species on this planet.

Humans are highly social beings having complex brains. Humans are the only species who know the use of science and technologies to survive long in the environment.

As humans are social beings, they established a variety of cultures, rituals, and disciplines around themselves. Humans are enthusiastic and have a curiosity to know the unknown.

They understand the environment better and know science, philosophy, and religion. Furthermore, humans possess their personal feelings, imaginations, shame, self-awareness, and thoughts.

Ape species are very closer to humans than monkeys are. Animals like gorillas, chimpanzees, orangutans, Gibbons, bonobos, and humans are from the same ape species.

The human body consists of two legs, two arms, the neck, the torso, and the head. Moreover, they have the nervous, digestive, immune, respiratory, reproductive, cardiovascular, and urinary systems.

What are Animals?

Animals are living creatures, a member of the kingdom Animalia. Animals with backbones are vertebrates includes mammals, reptiles, birds, amphibians, and fish.

There are approximately 1-2 million animal species on the earth. They are Eukaryotic with multicellular organism, can consume food, can move, and can reproduce sexually.

Animals cannot talk. They communicate through making various sounds. Also, some animals have basic and undeveloped communication skills.

Most of the animals walk on their four legs or crawl. They can be herbivorous( goat, cow), carnivorous(lion, tiger), or omnivorous( bear). Animals can be warm-blooded or cold-blooded.

Likewise, human beings, animals also take oxygen and give out carbon dioxide. They reproduce by giving birth to the new one or laying eggs.

Moreover, animals have a basic sense of survival, and they are dependent on nature. They lack the ability to change their environment what humans have. Therefore, they have to adapt or die.

Main Differences Between Humans and Animals

  1. Humans are the most advanced and clever species in the world as they have highly developed brains. While animals have a basic and undeveloped brain. They are not as clever as humans.
  2. Humans have the most advanced communication skills. They have languages to express their feelings clearly what the animals do not have.
  3. Humans are civilized social beings. While animals are wild and uncivilized.
  4. Humans are bipedal. They walk on two legs. While most of the animals move place to place using their four legs.
  5. Humans have shame, self-awareness. They wear clothes, cook food, built houses, and know the usage of science and technology. On the other hand, animals take food directly from nature, cannot cook food, lives in the jungle or natural environment.
