It kept everything good that the XL model did but introduced other things like the bigger and better screen, improved speaks output for voice instructions, and also introduced live traffic and road change updates.

Although the TomTom XXL has been taken off the market and cannot be sold legally anymore, the company has promised lifetime map updates for the device and excellent support through their website. The TomTom XXL was heavier and much more expensive than its competitors which made its ancestors’ appeal disappear and soon these devices practically became non-existent.

  4. The TomTom XXL is much heavier than the TomTom XL coming in at around 9 oz as compared to the latter’s 6.5 oz.
  5. Emegency Shortcuts Service is only available on the TomTom XXL and not on the TomTom XL.

GPS in its full form reads out as Global Positioning System and is a technology to know roads and streets accurately through the use of satellite monitoring. They are basically e-maps with real-time updates and much more functionality than a traditional map.
