What is Google TV?
Google TV is a Service, initially an on-demand online video service, provided by Google. It is a Digital distribution company. The service was started in 2011 with the name Google Movies, then later renamed Google Play Movies & TV.
Google has provided most of the content in High Definition since 2016. In September 2020, the Android app for Google Play Movies & TV was renamed to Google TV on Android devices, adding aggregation of the Digital Content across all the streaming services.
The Google TV user interface is merged with the provided video service. Also, since March 2021, the users of Google TV have been reporting that the app used on several TVs is no longer available, and the users were asked to use the YouTube app instead.
What is Fire TV Stick?
Fire TV Stick is also known as Amazon Fire TV Stick. It is a digital media player and console developed by the Parent company Amazon. Fire TV Stick comes in many models, namely, Fire TV Stick Lite, Fire TV Stick 4K, and Fire TV Stick 4K Max.
Amazon produces these devices, which will be used as a network appliance that will deliver digital audio and video content streamed by using the internet to any device. However, the preference is HD televisions, as the services streamed are mostly in 4K content.
What is Apple TV?
Apple Inc develops Apple TV, the digital media player and Micro console. Apple TV is a Network Appliance that plays the data or media received into displays, either Apple or 3rd Party devices.
Apple TV lacks integrated controls and will be controlled by an Apple remote and Siri remote. Apple TV runs on its own TV OS, which will produce the best-in-class Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision.
Difference Between Google TV and Fire TV Stick and Apple TV
- Google Inc creates Google TV, while Amazon is the creator of the Fire TV Stick. At the same time, Apple TV is developed by Apple Inc.
- Linux OS is the operating system of Google TV, but for Fire TV Stick, it is Fire OS. On the contrary, in the case of Apple TV, the operating system is TV OS.
