He was the first President of the United States who didn’t have any prior government or military service. 

His win over the Democratic Party’s Hillary Clinton was controversial and faced massive protests. During his Presidency and campaign, he made several misleading and false statements and encouraged conspiracy theories.

He was the first U.S. President who was impeached twice, once for being related to the Ukraine scandal and abusing power in 2019 and once for “incitement of insurrection” in 2021.

Trump diverted funding towards building a wall on the border of Mexico and the U.S. and ordered a travel ban on citizens who came from Muslim-majority countries. He also implemented a family separation policy for apprehended migrants.
