It is most popular in the US and Canada. The company that initially released it was Harmonix Music Systems, and no denying the fact that they did a great job with the gaming console.
Rock Band has many versions, some of which are supported by various devices such as PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii.
It also comes with a guitar controller, which is a Fender Stratocaster, and also many other wired and non-wired controllers can be used with the console.
Rock Band is also accompanied by a drum controller, a USB microphone, and a headset for the Xbox 360.
A rock band, as its name suggests, is better when played in a group in a multiplayer mode that resembles playing as a band. However, it also has a single-player game option and works fine with it too.
