The Mexican culture is a conflation of native, Mexican, and Spanish cultures. The Mexican culture is one of the most vivacious and enriched cultures, influenced by its early ancient civilizations like the Aztecs, Maya, and European colonization.
The Mexican culture has its unique culture and is indeed a vibrant one. It has its unique culture in religion, arts, literature, architecture, cinema, cuisine, music, dance, and sports.
The arrival of Spanish and European colonization is the reason behind the bringing of Roman Catholicism. Roman Catholicism is the main religion in the country.
Clay pottery, embroidery of cotton garments, basket designs, etc., are also a part of the artistry. Post-Mexican Revolution showed a significant evolution in the artistic world.
Some of the architectural pieces are also the most significant monuments in the world. The history of Mexican Cinema initiated at the inception of the 20th century.
Mexican cuisine is an admixture of Indigenous and European styles. Popular dishes and beverages include tacos, enchiladas, mole sauce, atole, tamales, pozoles, mescal, cinnamon-flavored hot chocolate, pulque, etc.

The American culture is diverse and consists of different cultures’ morals. These cultures include Native American, Asian, Pacific Island, and Latin American.
The dialect, music, art, literature, cuisine, and social habits blend different cultures from different parts of the world. The American culture has homogeneity in its diversity, making it unique.
European essences exist in American culture because of the English immigrants to America during British Rule. Many cultural influences are from countries like Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, and Spain in the Latin American provinces.
The consistent principles include individualism, egalitarianism, freedom, and democracy. At the federal level, there is no official language of the USA, but English is spoken by most of the population.
Many artists bloomed with exceptional art pieces in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The art culture flourished thoroughly back then.
The American theatre is primarily based on Western tradition. American music exhibits a variety of music forms, such as rock and roll, jazz, rock, techno, soul, country, hip-hop, blues, etc.
Main Differences Between Mexican and American Culture
- Federal, state, and local governments do control and funding of the education system in the American culture. On the other hand, federal and state governments manage and finance the education system in the Mexican culture.
- Family is considered the priority in Mexican culture. On the other hand, work is considered the priority in American culture.
