What is Snapchat?
Snapchat is a widespread multimedia instant messaging application among the young generation. With over 1 billion downloads, it caters to over 293 million users daily. The numbers aren’t surprising as the app has a lot to offer.
The initial authors of the fantastic photo and social media app were Evan Spiegel, Bobby Murphy, and Reggie Brown, who later became the founder of Snap Inc company.
Snap Inc is an American camera and social media company that developed and launched Snapchat in September 2011.
The American multimedia app Snapchat allows users to click amazing pictures and share them in between. But, a unique feature that makes Snapchat a bit different is the disappearing messages and snaps.
The message you sent to the recipient stays only for a short time and disappears or becomes inaccessible for the recipient.
With time, the Snapchat developers have introduced many changes to the features and added new ones like attractive filters, stickers, etc., to make it more interesting for the users.
Snapchat stands a bit away from other social media platforms as the app is used to snap, share, and move on from the little memories we create daily. But, some memories can be stored with the newest addition to its feature.
Hence, the uniqueness and classy features attract users to dedicate some time to Snapchat.
What is Sharechat?
Sharechat is an Indian social media and marketing platform that has seen immense growth in the past few years. The app was introduced by three IIT Kanpur graduates – Ankush Sachdeva, Bhanu Pratap Singh, and Farid Ahsan.
The trio is the founder of Mohalla Tech Pvt Ltd. company, which developed the Sharechat app.
Sharechat was introduced as a content-sharing platform to the users during the starting days. But, in 2016, the developers introduced a user-generated content creation feature.
Currently, the Sharechat company works with approximately 400 employees, who try to innovate and make the app more entertaining for the users.
Now, the users can also create and share their posters and content on the Sharechat platform. Open tagging was also enabled with the update for users to create their tags depending on the content.
But, the app isn’t limited to content sharing, as developers have included instant messaging and chat room features.
In 2020, the ShareChat developers launched a short-video app named ‘Moj’. The app allowed users to create unique short content and share it with their followers.
The app has shown rapid growth after the launch, making it one of India’s most loved short-video apps.
