Tiger and Panther are both humongous mammals that are kind of feared by mankind and even other smaller animals. Since both of the animals belong to the cat family, it might get a little confusing in pointing out the differences between the two.

The main difference between Tiger and Panther is that tigers have long verticle black stripes on their body which are not present in panthers. Another difference between them is in the color of their fur- Tigers generally are in shades of orange, brown, or white whereas Panthers and majorly black and may be found in dark brown.

Conclusion

As they both belong to the same family, they are bound to have similar characteristics. Both Tiger and Panter have similar hunting strategies of getting hold of their prey by the neck, both live off as lonely animals, have the same nature of characteristics of reproduction, have more or less the same diet. Some of the differences lie in their size, as tigers are bigger than panthers. The only major different trait between them is the absence of black stripes from panthers, which makes it possible to visibly tell the difference between the two from afar.
