A new mid-size sedan has entered the market with the Toyota Yaris. There are quite a few firsts for the segment, like seven airbags as standard, electric driver seat adjustment and automatic (CVT) transmission.

Maruti Ciaz is another strong contender in this segment. A Ciaz is considered to be the best value-for-money car in the segment.

Toyota Yaris vs Ciaz

The Toyota Yaris is a subcompact car that Toyota has produced since 1999. The Suzuki Ciaz is a compact car manufactured by the Japanese automaker Suzuki. The Yaris is known for its reliability and practicality, while the Ciaz is praised for its spacious interior and comfortable ride.

What is Toyota Yaris?

Black and beige colours are available for the Yaris’ interior. A simple dashboard is on offer. As with the Corolla Altis, it features a simple steering wheel. The interior space is comparable to the City.

It is as spacious as the Etios but much more comfortable. The seats will be more comfortable, the leather and fabric used will be higher quality, and the ride will be more supple.

Even the rear armrest on the Yaris has AC vents and a fair amount of features.

The seats are not as comfortable as Yaris. The armrest has a lot of space, giving the impression of a much more expensive vehicle.

There is sufficient headroom. There is limited under-thigh support, and the seats are a little ok. The headrests are also not adjustable.

AC vents on the vehicle’s rear and a 12-volt charging socket where a mobile phone can also be plugged in. Three adults can comfortably sit in the Ciaz because it is a comprehensive car.

Ciaz has a relatively lower price range, from 8 lakhs to 12 lakhs. However, even though it does not have a lot of updates, it still looks more premium than the Toyota Yaris.

The car also supports petrol and diesel fuel versions and has much more mileage than the Yaris.
