Instagram Reels are a popular way to create and share short-form video content with your audience. However, sometimes you might encounter issues with reels not showing or audio not working properly. First, ensure that Instagram Reels is available in your country, as this feature might not be available in all regions. If not, there’s no need to proceed with the following steps.
Next, check if your Instagram app is up to date. An outdated app might cause issues with reels. To update the app, go to your device’s app store and look for any available updates. If you find one, install it and try accessing reels again to see if the issue has been resolved.
If updating the app doesn’t help, consider clearing the cache for the Instagram app on your device. This can help fix issues caused by an overloaded or corrupt cache. To do this, go to your device’s settings, find the Instagram app, and clear its cache.
Refreshing your Instagram feed can also help if reels are not appearing as they should. To do this, pull down your feed to refresh the content. This forces Instagram to load new content, including any reels that might have been initially missed.
Lastly, if Instagram Reels’ audio is not working, check your device’s sound settings to ensure it’s not muted or disabled. Additionally, you can try using headphones to check if the issue is with your device’s speaker.
Troubleshooting Instagram Reels Not Showing
If you’re experiencing issues with Instagram Reels not showing up, try these possible solutions:
1. Update the Instagram app: Ensure your app is up-to-date by checking for app updates in the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). An outdated app may lack the latest features or have known issues that prevent Reels from showing up.
2. Check Reels availability in your country: Instagram Reels may not be available in your region. To avoid trying to fix a problem that doesn’t exist, ensure the feature is officially supported in your country.
3. Log out and log back in: Sometimes, a simple log out and log back in can help refresh your account and show the missing Reels feature. To do this, navigate to your profile tab, tap on the hamburger menu, go to Settings, and choose “Log Out,” then log back into your account using your username and password.
4. Grant necessary permissions to Instagram: Ensure that Instagram has the required permissions to access your phone’s camera, microphone, and storage. For iPhone users, go to Settings > Instagram, and enable permissions for All Photos, Microphone, and Camera. For Android users, go to Settings > App management > Instagram > Permissions, and allow Camera, Microphone, and Storage.
