Internet of Things (IoT) refers to a network of physical devices that are connected to the internet and can communicate with each other. The Internet of Everything (IoE) includes not just physical devices, but also people, data, and processes. The IoE is a broader concept that includes the IoT.
The internet of things is a concept that connects machines and other programmable devices to the internet for creating a network of interconnected devices. This network would facilitate the transfer of data between the devices so that the flow of work is smooth-lined and the time required for completion of work is also reduced.
The internet of everything is an extension of the concept of the internet of things. The concept aims to connect all electronic devices into a single network and create an ecosystem of interconnected devices.
Thus there is a constant and uninterrupted transfer of information between the devices connected in this ecosystem.

What is Internet of Things?
The internet of things is a concept of interconnected machines and electronic programmable devices for creating a network of such machines. The concept was first introduced in 1999.
The concept tries to streamline the manufacturing and working processes of machines by connecting the machines, limiting delays due to interruption of information.
Thus due to the interconnected system of machines, information about the manufacturing process, such as the different stages of manufacturing is constantly transferred between the different machines.
This constant flow of work information limits any delay between the machines and streamlines the entire process of manufacturing.
Thus the concept was developed to be implemented in a manufacturing environment, such as manufacturing plants and factories. Hence the only communication available in such a system is between machines.
Thus in the internet of things, communication between machines and people is not possible. This is in part due to the limited intelligence of the machines and devices connected in such a system.
Nevertheless, the network is very useful in manufacturing environments and can convert the traditional, more time-consuming manufacturing process into a more streamlined and efficient method of manufacturing.
Thus although heavy capital is required for implementing this system, the potential benefits of the system outweigh the difficulties of implementation.
What is Internet of Everything?
The internet of everything is an extension of the concept of the Internet of things. The concept aims to connect all the electronic devices to create a much wider and more sophisticated ecosystem, which facilitates the transfer of information in a much more streamlined way.
The drawback of the Internet of things was that it was a network of machines and other manufacturing equipment.
Due to the limited intelligence of these devices, the internet of things could not be implemented for performing more complex tasks.
The purpose of the Internet of Everything was to improve the interconnected network of devices and eliminate the drawbacks of the internet of things.
Thus the Internet of everything is a much wider network of devices, which includes manufacturing devices as well as other electronic devices such as air conditioning systems, lighting systems, music and entertainment systems, and so on.
Thus the Internet of everything is a much wider and more capable ecosystem of smart electronic devices which has huge potential and a large scope for application in varied scenarios.
Thus the system is designed for use in manufacturing establishments as well as in homes and other living spaces. Communication is established not only between machines but between machines and people as well.
