What is Google Bard?

Google Bard is also an AI model developed by the company Google. The word Bard stands for Binary Augmented Retro-Framing. It was released in March 2023 and is based on LaMDA technology, i.e., Language Model for Dialogue Applications. 

The responses of the AI are mainly in a search format, and they are more specific and accurate. The source of information is the internet itself for Google Bard.

Difference Between ChatGPT and Google Bard

  1. OpenAI develops ChatGPT; on the other hand, Google Bard is developed by the company Google. 
  2. The ChatGPT is defined as an AI language that responds using GPT technology. While at the same time, Google Bard is defined as an AI language that responds using the Language Model for Dialogue Application (LaMDA) technology. 
  3. The AI ChatGPT was released on 30 November 2022, whereas on the other hand, the AI Google Bard was released on 21 March 2023.
  4. The AI ChatGPT uses the Generative Pre-Trained Transformer (GPT) technology. In contrast, Google Bard uses the Language Model for Dialogue Applications (LaMDA) as its technology.
  5. ChatGPT has an in-built plagiarism checker, which means the responses generated are plagiarism-free. Comparatively, on the other hand, Google Bard does not have any in-built plagiarism checker in it.
