The various micronutrients available in oats are saturated fat, proteins, calcium, etc. Oats are gluten-free and are considered beneficial for health. Oats are an annual herb and are grown either in autumn or in the spring season.  

Oats have a positive impact on the body. Oats helps in controlling the appetite because it acts as a normal meal to the body. They are also rich in antioxidants such as avenanthramides which decrease the blood pressure level of the body.  

Oats being rich in fibers reduces the risk of heart diseases. It also cures the problem of constipation and prevents irritation in bowel movements.  

Certain precautions need to be kept in mind while the consumption of oats. People having difficulty in swallowing and chewing should avoid the consumption of oats because unchewed intake of oats may lead to blockage of the intestine. One should also avoid the consumption of oats with insulin, it leads to a drop in the sugar level.  

A high intake of oats may lead to bloating. One should take minimum quantity initially and then increase the intake gradually. Oats are also used in making skin products. Skin products extracted by oats should be applied after considering your skin type. Sometimes it may lead to rashes on the skin.
